So in this blog post, I will be answering "How to find old tweets by Date".
Two ways to Find Old Tweets by Date
- Format Search on Mobile
- Advanced Search on Desktop
Advanced search can't be done on Mobile App but format search can be done on both Mobile and Desktop/Laptop. I am going to explain both methods with images of what I did for your better understanding.
1. Format Search on Mobile
Step 1 - Open your Twitter mobile app on your Andriod or IOS.
Step 2 - Select the "Search" option available.
Step 3 - In the search box of the search page type "from:username since:yyyy-mm-dd until:yyyy-mm-dd", in the username part, type the username, not the display name of the user you want to search for as in Fig 2.

Step 4 - Make sure that you typed that exactly as it was mentioned in the above step to get the results.
Once you entered and selected search, you will find the results which are the tweets of the user you searched for in the period of time you mentioned in the search as shown in Fig 3.

When you searched in Mobile App (Android), your results will be like as shown in the above image.
This method can be used to find tweets of any dates from any user. So save this format search so you access this method even when you forget this in the future.
from:username since:yyyy-mm-dd until:yyyy-mm-dd
Don't confuse (-) [dash] with (/) [slash].
2. Advanced Search on Desktop
Step 1 - Log in to your Twitter account in your Desktop browser.
Step 2 - Select the "Explore" option from the homepage and type the user name in the search bar and from the "Advanced Search" from the "Search filters" menu on the top right of the page as shown in Fig 4.

Step 3 - You can also directly access it by searching "Twitter Advanced Search" on Google, to access it.
Step 4 - In the Advanced search, you can search for very specific details like exact phrases, reply sent to, mentioned someone, engagement, and several filters like in Fig 5.

Step 5 - But now we're only going to see the results from minimum steps, so type the "Username with @" in the "From these accounts" under the Accounts menu and select the from and to dates from the Dates menu.
Step 6 - After giving those details in the Advanced search option, now select "Search" from the top right of the pop-up page.
