FAQ

1. Why should Submit Sitemap in Google Search Console?

Submitting your sitemap to GSC allows google to go through your site like how Google would go through and analyze data like Keywords, Links, Crawl errors, snippets, breadcrumbs, and many other SEO aspects and provide you key details about your website.

2. How often sitemap in Google Search Console should be updated?

Google Search Console users don't have to submit the same sitemap every time when a blog post is published.
Once a sitemap is submitted into GSC, it will periodically update itself.

As you can see from the below example image that I submitted my sitemap on April 12, 2020, and google last read it on Aug 5, 2020.

You can also manually update the sitemap once if you feel something is wrong.
