6 (Clever) steps to add a Drop down Menu in Blogger

Dropdown menus are one of the most essential parts of a website to improve visitors' navigation and site structure but unfortunately, there are no readymade options in Google Blogger to add dropdown menus.

Learning "how to add drop-down menu in Blogger" is one of the earliest tasks when I started blogging.

So in this blog post, I will be explaining the most simple way on How to add a drop-down navigation menu with a submenu in Blogger.

Add Drop-Down Menu in Blogger

1. Login to your Google Blogger account.



2. Select "Layout" from the left navigation panel.

3. From the main page, under the "Main Menu" section, click the "Edit" icon in the "Link List" Gadgets. The menu differs for users depending on their website template and their layout customization.

   To create a new select "Add a Gadget" and select "Link List" from the following dialogue box.



4. Now on the dialogue box, Give "Title" to your menu bar, enter Page's title in the "New Site Name" box and their URL in the "New Site URL" box and click "Add Link".

5. After adding links on the list, a menu item can be made into a submenu by just adding "Underscore (_)" in front of the "Site name" text.

Adding underscore before the name of the menu tells the blogger template to display that below the menu which presents above it on the list.

For my list of menus, the blogger template will create a dropdown menu like the following image.
